Why this course?
In this training, we will discuss how organisations can influence business practices, build partnerships, and develop earned income ventures while leveraging market forces to achieve social change on a broader scale. At the end of this course, you will:
- Understand the essential components of an integrated fundraising plan.
- Have worked on the building blocks of the fundraising plan (SWOT, P/C matrix, Case for Support, Donor Map).
- Understand different types of funders and their motivations.
- Have ideas of how to scan and map in your country/region for international fundraising opportunities.
- Have put together a resource mobilisation plan for your organisation or network.
Your profile:
You are a fundraiser, business development officer, programme/ project manager and professional, director or line manager with fundraising responsibilities, or a consultant/adviser.
Methodology:
Webinars on Zoom – Webinars are scheduled at fixed times in such a way that everyone can join, even those participating from different continents. We’ll introduce and explain theories, but also allow you to reflect on how the concepts apply to your context.
Individual Q&A – Shorter, one-to-one sessions that dive deeper into specific topics with trainers.
Self-paced learning (homework) - we use Moodle (learning.mdf.nl), MDF’s learning platform, and a special working space on Mural. The self-paced learning takes place outside of these other sessions, adjusted for your me zone and daily schedule. In some cases, we request you to finish a particular activity or exercise before the webinar. Whenever you complete an online activity, it will be checked off automatically in the learning platform.
Certificate
Participants receive a certificate of completion when the online assignments are finalised and when you have followed all webinars by the end of the course.
